Lochaven International Ltd was established with the aim of giving traditional Scottish woolen garments an exciting, warm and extra durable twist.
Over the past 5 years Lochaven has supplied over 40,000 of their unique felted garments to some of the highest quality retailers throughout the world with 90% being exported to prestigious stores in Japan, USA and Russia including National Geographic. For 2008 Lochaven has decided to sell direct to the public for the first time through their e-commerce site.
Lochaven offers to the market all natural, first cut felted 100% lambswool, which is crafted into a unique collection of men’s, women’s and children’s jackets, sweaters and accessories. Our unique felting technique created at our premises in heart of rural Scotland, results in a high loft fabric that is incredibly soft, has high warmth to weight ratio, water and wind resistant and naturally breathable. This lends its’ desirable features to the outdoor market: walking, skiing, golfing or simply a stroll to the shops.
This season’s collection draws its inspiration from Lochaven’s adaptability to outdoor activities and captures the essence of the Scottish climate through our designs and colours. Our collection not only offers sought after luxurious lambswool jumpers but in addition includes a small collection of woman’s fashion jumpers.
Are you a designer looking for Scottish Manufacturing Capabilities?
Lochaven undertakes subcontract knitting, cutting, washing, linking and all aspects of garment assembly for some of the most prestigious names in the knitwear world. We also work with Knitwear designers to create designs which we subsequently manufacture for them and are equally skilled whether working with lambswool, cotton or cashmere.
Lochaven also regularly undertakes design and manufacture projects for the film industry, most notably producing all the school jumpers and cardigans for the last 4 Harry Potter films. Interestingly, we have recently completed the garments for the Harry Potter and the Half – Blood Prince due for release in July 2009 so look out for us on the silver screen!.
